On Monday 4 March the team at Vivedus paused to celebrate a milestone — our second birthday. But as with everything we do, we think less about the number and more about what it represents: two years of working alongside teachers and schools to solve one of education's most persistent challenges.
The challenge? The gap between covering curriculum and genuinely engaging learners. Two very different things.
What Vivedus does — and why it matters
We help schools solve the disconnect between curriculum coverage and deep student engagement, by giving teachers an AI-enabled platform that embeds expert pedagogy into their everyday planning — so they can design fully differentiated, highly engaging lessons in a fraction of the time.
Unlike a Learning Management System, which is simply a place to store content, Vivedus changes something more fundamental: how teachers think and plan, so it changes how students learn. Every time a teacher plans a lesson on Vivedus, they are also growing as a professional. Every lesson they produce meets a highly accomplished teacher standard — by design, not by chance.
Vivedus is about reducing teacher workload. It is about supporting consistent, high-quality practice in every classroom, every day. But above all, Vivedus is about solving the learning engagement problem.
Two Years Young — Decades in the Making
While Vivedus may be two years old, it is built on far more than two years of work. Behind the platform sits a deep foundation of research, practice, and partnership:
▪ 70+ years of combined experience working in and leading P–12 schools
▪ 70+ years of global academic research into best practice teaching and learning
▪ 2 years in active partnership with the University of Melbourne
▪ 2 years working directly with both government and non-government schools
▪ Recognition with two awards from the Global Institute of Creative Thinking, a finalist placing in the QLD iAwards, and selection into Advance Queensland's prestigious Ignite+Commercialisation and Growth program
Vivedus did not emerge from a technology lab. It emerged from classrooms — from the hard-won experience of educators who understand what great teaching looks like, what gets in the way of it, and what it takes to make it happen consistently at scale.
What comes next
Our second year has confirmed what we believed when we started: teachers want to teach well. They want every lesson to count. They want their students activated, curious, and thinking deeply. What they need is the time, the tools, and the pedagogical support to make that happen — reliably, not occasionally.
That is what Vivedus is built to deliver. And we are only just getting started.
Make every lesson count.
